This policy describes how the Village of Tully website handles information. It applies to the municipal website and does not replace other laws, records-retention requirements, or policies that may apply to Village records.
Information you provide
If you email, call, mail, or otherwise contact the Village, the Village may retain your message and contact information as a government record. Messages may be subject to New York’s Freedom of Information Law and applicable records-retention schedules.
Website information
The website host and security services may automatically record technical information such as Internet Protocol address, browser type, pages requested, date and time, and error or security events. This information may be used to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website.
Accounts, comments, and payments
Public user registration and comments are disabled. The Village does not currently provide resident water or sewer accounts, bill lookup, or online payment through this website. Authorized staff accounts may use necessary login and security cookies.
External sites and embedded content
Links to other government agencies and community organizations are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organizations. Embedded maps, videos, documents, or other third-party content may collect information under the third party’s policy.
Protect sensitive information
Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, bank information, Social Security numbers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information through ordinary email or public website forms.
