The Village of Tully Department of Public Works crew are trained and certified in Water Quality & Distrbution, Waste Water Management along with their everyday tasks of caring for the village streets and public areas. The crew, lead by Superintendent Harold Kiehl who has over 25 years of service, recently was awarded the Waste Water Treatment Plant of the Year by the New York State Rural Water Association. The WWTP was graded on operational efficiency and presents of the plant. An honor well deserved. The other crew members are DPW Assistant’s Mike Hoke and Rich Patterson. Mike was responsible for coordinating a joint venture with the Town of Tully constructing two new pavilions one at Cummings Park and a seconded at Tully Town Park. Mike is also certified in Wastewater Management and has his Water Certification. Rich who is responsible for landscaping and mowing has recently received his NYS Water Certification and is currently working on his NYS Wastewater Management Certification.

VILLAGE OF TULLY Curbside Pick-up Schedule

Please follow these rules or curb pick -up items will NOT be picked up.

  • Please help us save our environment – use biodegradable bags.
  • Place all items at the curb before 7AM.
  • Lawn Rakings, Yard Waste, Shrub Trimmings and Small Twigs: Monday pick-up day.
    • April: Place at curb (piled or in CLEAR plastic or biodegradable bags).
    • May- Oct: Must be in CLEAR plastic or biodegradable bags and placed at curb.
  • Brush – Monday pick-up day * shrub trimmings and small twigs must be bagged !
    • April-Oct: Brush must be stacked between walk and street with all cut ends pointing in same direction as traffic (no roots attached) -will be picked up separately.
  • Dirt & Stone – Monday pick-up day.
    • Small quantities of dirt and stone will be picked up if in containers that can be easily handled. Place at curb.
  • Leaves
    • Fall – Place at curb (piled or in CLEAR plastic or biodegradable bags).
  • Christmas Trees
    • All January pick-up. Place at curb without bags.
  • Free landscaping woodchips may be picked up at the Waste Water Treatment Plant: April – November.
