Notice of Budget Hearing

VILLAGE OF TULLY NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING

Pursuant to Section 5‑508 of the Village Law, the preliminary budget for the Village of Tully has been prepared and filed with the Village Clerk at the Village Office, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, Tully, New York, where it may be inspected by any interested party during normal business hours. Said preliminary budget includes compensation for the Mayor in the amount of $4,000.00 per annum and compensation for each Trustee in the amount of $950.00 per annum.

A summary of the preliminary budget is as follows: Taxes to be raised for General Fund: $255,964.00; Water Assessment: $93,162.56; Sewer Assessment: $112,392.09. The amount to be raised through user fees is as follows: Water Fund: $243,126.00; Sewer Fund: $548,889.00.

A public hearing will be held at the Municipal Building, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, Tully, New York, on April 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., to consider the same before final adoption. The Village Board will also discuss any other Village business brought before the Board.

The regularly scheduled Village Board meeting of April 1st has been rescheduled to be held in conjunction with the Budget Hearing on April 8, 2026.

Public Hearing

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village of Tully Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on March 25, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Village of Tully Municipal Building (Village Town Hall), to consider an application for the renewal of a zoning permit for Dirty Howlers Grooming, a business located within the Village of Tully, Onondaga County, New York.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review the permit renewal application, to hear from the applicant, and to receive public comment before the Zoning Board of Appeals takes action.

All interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard, either in person or by representative.

SPECIAL MEETING: BUDGET WORKSHOP

BUDGET WORKSHOP 2026:

 NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING VILLAGE OF TULLY BOARD OF TRUSTEES:

Please take notice that a special meeting of the Village of Tully Board of Trustees will be held on March 4th, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Municipal Building, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, in the Village of Tully for a Budget Workshop.  The Regular Village Board meeting will follow immediately after.

Furthermore, there is a tentative Budget Workshop scheduled for March 18th, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Municipal Building, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, if the previous workshop does not meet all criteria for a balanced budget.

Please take further notice that these meetings are open to the public and this notice is being given in accordance with the New York Open Meetings Law.

Please take notice that an organizational meeting of the Village of Tully will be held as follows, in accordance with the New York State Open Meetings Law:

The purpose of this meeting is to conduct organizational business, including but not limited to the election of officers, adoption of bylaws, establishment of committees, and other matters as may properly come before the board.

This meeting is open to the public and will be conducted in accordance with Article 7 of the Public Officers Law (Open Meetings Law) of the State of New York. Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings.  Regular meeting immediately to follow.

New Assessor

The Town and Village of Tully would like to welcome the new Tully Assessor Brian Fitts, and his assistant Nikki Reid to the municipality! We hope they enjoy their time here.

Mr. Fitts will be in his office every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. His assistant, Ms. Reid, is available every Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm. If you would like to contact Mr. Fitts, his email is TullyNYAssessor@gmail.com, and the office number is (315)696-4693 ext. 13.

Town of Tully to Hold Public Information Meeting on Zoning Code Update

The Town of Tully will hold a Public Information Meeting on Wednesday, October 29th at 6:00 PM at Tully Town Hall, 5833 Meetinghouse Road, Tully, NY to present and discuss updates to the Town’s Zoning Code.

The zoning code update is being completed as part of a New York State Department of State Smart Growth Grant and builds on the goals and recommendations identified in the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. The purpose of the meeting is to share proposed updates, gather community feedback, and ensure that the Town’s zoning regulations reflect current land use patterns and community priorities.

All interested residents and property owners are encouraged to attend.
